At Ear Coning Candles, we provide an ear cone unlike any other, a cone that will give you results. These ear cones are aerodynamically designed, utilizing heat and vacuum intensities to extract the maximum amount of debris while providing a gentle process. Larger, Slower Burning, All-Natural Ear Cones
Our cones are also a slower burning cone, giving you more time to do it right. The extraction rate of one King Cone ear cone is equivalent to four to nine of our competitors' cones/candles; and our cones draw 50% to 80% more debris than any other cone on the market. Our ear cones are made with all-natural materials. These materials consist of 100% natural cotton strips and beeswax, which contain the essential oils. Our cones are 12 inches in length with a 1-inch diameter at the top of the cone, with a one-degree taper. Our tip is then a funnel-like taper to just under a ¼ of an inch. For your comfort, the tip of the ear cone is double dipped in bee's wax. This provides a soft, gentle feeling when held to your ear canal, providing a better fit and seal for the vacuum process. |  |

Hazards of Other Ear Cones
Most of the ear candles on the market today have the appearance of dinner candles, and/or a drinking straw shape, manufactured from very thin materials. These thin materials have the tendency to flake off while being burned, therefore, creating a fire hazard by carrying a burning ember as it falls. Most of today's ear candle diameters range from .250 or ¼ of an inch to .750, or ¾ of an inch on the large end. Their overall length can be anywhere from 6 to 10 inches in length, and will taper quite rapidly down to .250, or ¼ of an inch, therefore producing a narrow cone, which in turn, creates a poor vacuum. Most have openings at the base of .0125, or 1/8th of an inch, and or less in diameter, which inhibit drawing earwax and debris.
Other ear candles also have the shape of a dart, which are very narrow and have been known to puncture eardrums. These ear candles are made with a paraffin wax, or a combination of beeswax with a paraffin blend. These particular candles are not efficient and burn quite rapidly, which can lead to health problems or fire hazards. There is reason for caution in using these candles; as an example, paraffin, when heated to a liquid state will scar skin tissue, resulting in a permanent scar. The material paraffin is a petroleum byproduct of crude oil. Household names have been given to paraffin, such as candy wax or food wax. When extracting paraffin from crude oil, a substance known as Methyl Ethyl Ketone (M.E.K.) is used. Methyl Ethyl Ketone is a high-tech cleaning solvent used in the automotive and aerospace industries to clean parts. This substance is very lethal to the human body! Always wear protective gear when working with this substance. There are documents demonstrating that M.E.K and paraffin have been known to create cancer in the genital region, and has created disorders to the central nervous system, as well as the respiratory system. Paraffin emits hydrocarbons into the atmosphere when being burned. This substance is very toxic to the human body. If anyone tells you, "a little bit will not harm you," think about the long-term effects. It literally will be detrimental to your body. Most chemical employees who work in this substance are retired within 10 years of employment. These large chemical companies do not want to be held accountable for the health issues that will result from these toxic products. |
